Surface finish classification using depth camera data

چکیده
We propose a novel approach for surface finish classification of digitally fabricated structures using an industrial depth camera. Data collected at different viewpoints are jointly processed to derive the spatial distribution features describing reflectance, which is in turn related finish. The can be used classify surfaces according their e.g., assessing homogeneity or conformance. apply method four sprayed plaster specimens similar visual appearance but roughness. Using nearest neighbor we achieve accuracy 97% samples. contribution towards real-time quality inspection digital fabrication.
